Stayed at this hotel where a conference was hosted. The hotel itself is huge.

The rooms are typical Marriott rooms; my expectations for cleanliness and comfort were met. For a business hotel, there are sufficient power outlets to power my personal electronics. I would not hesitate to come back to this hotel if there is another convention being held here.

This Hotel is very good in some aspects; terrible in others. I have stayed here many times but the last was the most difficult. Check in was pleasant. Using services like restaurant, deli, and even lobby bar was less than satisfying. Employees in those areas were not helpful, difficult to understand, really didn't seem to care. Very sad considering past visits have been much better. Customer service is important at check in but the rest leaves much to be desired. Not a good representation of the Marriott's I have come to expect.

Room Tip: I think the rooms in the newer section are larger.

Spent a week here recently while my wife attended a conference. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The meals at the hotel were just ok, there are some good dining options a very short walk from the hotel. The Metro station is very close by and the zoo is only a few blocks away. The only negative comment I have is the shower head was so low, it was difficult to shower (and I'm 5'10"). Room 6004

I felt as if we were isolated from the rest of D. C. We are both handicapped and it was so difficult to go out to find a place to eat. The choices in the hotel were extremely limited. The room was very nice and kept extremely clean. All the staff members I met were very nice and helpful.

I spent four nights here and attended a conference while I was here. The conference accommodations were great. I may not have been in the best room, because you probably don't get the best for the conference rate, but the room was not impressive. It was just a very average room. The bed was not the most comfortable and the pillows were very flat. There was a mini fridge, but no microwave. There is a microwave in a common area of the hotel, but this hotel is spread out so it is quite far from the room I was in. My room must have been right over the metro train, because I could hear it continuously throughout my stay. The location is close to the metro, which is nice if you are going to use it to get around. It is a quick and easy way to get around D.C. There is a decent selection of restaurants nearby. The zoo entrance is a few blocks away. Taxi service too and from the Reagan National Airport is around $25.00.
