“Intelligent, informative, and interesting”
Reviewed 4 March 2012

The Newseum is intelligent, informative, and interesting. What is great about this museum is that in addition to preserving "old history," it is also a responsible steward of more recent recent history such as 9/11. Additionally, the museum highlights "history in the making" by broadcasting the news of the minute in a variety of media. Plan to be there the better part of a day to see it all including a warehouse sized chunk of the Berlin Wall and every Pulitzer Prize winning photo since the award has been given. Absolutely fascinating and well worth the $25 price of admission.

“Great interactive visitor attraction”

It's a very cool place if you are interested in how the world of news works. I also liked that the quite expensive ticket was valid for two days.

“HUGE museum, be prepared to spend several hours here.”
Reviewed 4 March 2012

I'll first mention to look for a groupon or living social deal for this museum. Normally I think it's around $20, but we only payed $10.

The size of this museum is massive! They have so many very historic and iconic pieces of history through out, including parts of the Berlin Wall, the tower from the top of the World Trade Center, and other key items from history.

We could have easily spend a good 3 to 5 hours here, but since we had our 2 year old with us, we only stayed for a few hours.

Currently they have an exhibit of famous and iconic sports photography. I also loved the gallery of Pulitzer Prize winner photos, which we almost missed! It ended up being my favorite part of our tour. There are other fun activities that we passed up on, like the interactive "be a news reporter", trivia activities, and game shows.

So, there are lots of fun activities for both adults and children, as well as lots of interesting displays. It is very up-to-date as well! They already had lots of 2012 election coverage, and information of the latest protests in Syria and other places. It was very current.

Lots of learning in a fun way! I definitely recommend this museum.

“Best private museum in DC”
Reviewed 3 March 2012

Just a clever concept - though it was a little creepy to see that a good portion of it is underwritten by Newscorp (the Murdoch empire)
