Not all the beautiful colonial antiques are in the Trinidad museums! We looked in on Paladar Sol y Son because of the wonderful settings throughout the sitting room, bedrooms and dining areas. When we made reservations, the attentive staff gave us our choice of tables in the enchanting courtyard with a fountain. Our dinner did not disappoint. There is a wide selection of fish and lobster, traditional Cuban dishes like Ropa Vieja and an interesting blend of Indian food like the lamb curry, which I had. My wife had a delicious lobster. We loved our appetizers and the drinks were generous. Everything looked terrific. The staff was attentive throughout the evening and the musicians standing in between period furniture was a nice touch. If we had more time in Trinidad, we would definitely come back. As several other reviews said, this was probably the best restaurant we experienced in Cuba.
