Great location and a very reasonable hotel but my husband ended up with food poisoning after having breakfast in the hotel. The owner was rude, arrogant and xenophobic (with him not being local, that was rather amusing), so would never stay there again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone as there are many nicer hotels and B&Bs in the area with much better customer service and pleasant staff.

We spent amazing 4 days in Greenwood Hotel during our short trip to Vysoke Tatry. The hotel is located in a quiet area, next to Atrium Hotel and a small ski-lift "Jakubkova Luka" (great place to teach your kids). It's also not far away from the lift to Hrebienok (approx. 5 mins walk) where you can ski or rent a sledge for a 2,5 km ride down the hill.
The owners are very kind people, helpful in any situation. I will definitely be back.

I visited Diana again after a year, and it was excellent experience again. Although Diana has very classic alpine look from the outside, it is a modern building providing luxury and pleasant accommodation. Rooms are big and most of them are in fact apartments with two rooms (bedroom and seating area) and a comfortable bathroom, central corridor area contains shared fridge and additional seating area. TV set provides local Slovak channels and BBC World, and there is free wi-fi covering whole hotel. Breakfast area is also very pleasant and the offer is reasonable - although breakfast is served only from 8am till 9am - but you are in the center of the main settlement of Vysoke Tatry, so you have many other possibilities and services within the walking distance. Prices of stay are very reasonable, owners are very caring and it really shows.
