Modern hotel set in lovely grounds, a few minutes drive from the centre of Ponte de Lima, one of the loveliest towns in Northern Portugal. The hotel is easy to find, signed from the town centre, ample parking right outside and is clean, modern, efficient and good value. Our room was fine, it had everyhting we needed (except tea making, but then - where in Portugal will you find that!!!) The bathroom was good, the beds big and comfy, the decor neutral but pleasant. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and spoke ok english. Free WIFI and use of pool a big plus!! The pool itself was nice if not exciting. Breakfast was similar.
If you are looking for olde worlde charm and local flavour, this is not it. If you want a nice clean place to stay, with an indoor pool/gym, easy parking and free wifi - (OR obviously if you want GOLF - we didnt) this is the place.
Overall, great value, fab setting, comfortable hotel, we definitely recommend,

Room Tip: our room had a pool view - which sounds good but isnt. It meant that 4 metres from our french window was the glass wall of the indoor pool, - we could see them, they could see us. For an overnight we werent bothered, but had we been staying longer I would have asked for a room that looked out over the lovely golf course.

Stayed in this hotel for a weekend seminar.
Modern design/decor hotel.
Location – The hotel is located in a golf course. The designed landscape is beautiful … If you like golf or other activities – like walking in the nature, tenis … - this is the place.
But Ponte the Lima is not at a walkable distance … .
The room has a good size and the bathroom too. The bed was quite soft and the furniture seems a bit IKEA. The TV is not a flat screen and has just a few international chanells.
The a/c was a bit noisy but not disturbing.
Breakfast was a very simple buffet but with enough choices.
The only restaurant is outside the hotel and caters for all the player of the golf course. Nice but not outstanding. Ponte de Lima has better choices.

I would stay here again and recommend it.

The hotel is nice, with basic but confortable rooms, nice toilet. All very modern. A large balcony. The hotel gives free access to a good swimming pool, in the same building.
Breakfast room is nice but service was bad. Bread finished before everybody had eaten, lots of used empty tables unatended for too much time.
In the room, the fridge was empty and located right where you'd expect to put your legs while at desk.
Overall experience was not bad. The hotel is not easy to find out. Nice surroundings

I have to say that although Hotel do Golfe is a three star hotel, it looks like a lot more. Modern design, extremely clean and great food makes it a great option. But the best is the staff really nice, helpful and many other words that I still have to learn in english.
We travelled with our 2 year old boy who had a great stay.
The golf course is worth the visit, better by buggie because it is up the hill in many holes, and it is very difficult because of narrow fairways.
Special thanks for Elisabete who made the reservation and stay really pleasant.
