A museum among the pine tree forests, very scenic and unique. A good experience of how the buildings looked like and the life of the people in the old Latvia days.

I have spent many wonderful hours in the Open Air Museum. It is a place for solitude, silence and reflections of the history of Latvia, tangible, in the homes, churches represented there. For a Grandma travelling alone, it is also important that it feels totally safe. Beautiful place; needs multiple visits.,

A sunshiney day gave us a chance to wander all over and see the lovely buildings and walk into Latvian history and experience a world never explored before.

Discover the way Latvian architecture and life style evolved throughout the centuries while walking around a beautiful forest.
Worth every 4€ of it.
Outstanding place to go and get away from time and everyday stress.

This place is worth a visit, jusr read some background first. So many opportu ities here but seems they are not intrested to develop this museum. Long distances, so a minitrain or at least bikes could be useful. Nearly all houses were closed, no guides, no info about the differe t regions... This could be done so much better if they really tried.
