The museum was recently renovated, it is very pleasant, airy with good lighting and well presented displays. While the majority of the displays are targeted for the general audinence, the palaeontological collection and display wil be of interest to specialists as well, it is the best assembled and presented collection of the palaeozoic fossils of Estonia on public display.

Old Natural History Museum was renewed. All exposition is now exhibit like in 21 century way. Lot of touch screens etc. The impressive first video that the Earth is still round! And of course my favorite butterfly collection from 1776!!!

Good place to visit with family. There is a wide collection from the past and they have used audio visuals to understand the showpieces. Worth to visit!

This is a museum with history, but it needed brushing up, so in January 2016 they opened again after some period of renovation. Having visited the old museum a couple of times, I was in for a surprise, as they have really made a modern museum out of it. There's something to do and look at for all ages. The new permanent exhibition is titled EARTH. LIFE. STORY and I like the approach of bringing nature-related topics together, so it is only a few steps from minerals to mammals.
