The Estonian cultural renaissance between the wars included a circle of starving artists in Tartu. Some of their preserved work was clever. Some was just their homework from art classes.

Great museum, architectural pearl (Tartu own Pisa tower), nice collection of Estonian art.

When you are done, don't miss the small shop on the first floor!

The Pallas exhibition was really interesting and enjoyable! There were plenty of famous but also many less known art works. Lovely experience and would like to go back in the future. Definitely would recommend!

Have been there for couple of times when visiting Tartu and I enjoyed it a lot. It's rather small museum but the variety of exposure was impressive. They are swapping the exhibitions quite often (maybe after every 2 months or so). This museum is combines both classic and modern art from Estonian and international artists. It's a great place to pay a visit while visiting city center.
