Hotel Soho (FKA Hotel London) got rebranded and the lobby was renovated into a chic, trendy, modern hotel. The lobby has a fresh industrial look which blends into the University town of Tartu. The hotel only has around 50 rooms and the location is ideal-meters from the main square, surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops and cafes. An easy walk to most places in Tartu. Less than 1km from the bus station.
Since the main street is pedestrian only- the taxi will let you out on the side of the hotel-all you have to do is turn the corner to the main entrance of the hotel. As you enter you'll see a big bar with bar reception on it-the small check in desk is on your right as you enter. All of the receptionists were extremely friendly, helpful and always smiling. Their cheerfulness, genuine attitude demonstrated that they cared about their guests and made me feel special. Probably one of the top receptionists that I've experienced during my 20 + years of travelling and staying in hotels, They will give you restaurant recommendations. Don't forget to make restaurant reservations in advance as some of the more popular ones get very busy,
The room was a good size with a safe and a refrigerator. Their were lights and a master switch near the comfortable bed but unfortunately not a plug to charge your devises. The bathroom had a shower and shampoo dispensers....Hotel Soho (FKA Hotel London) got rebranded and the lobby was renovated into a chic, trendy, modern hotel. Breakfast is served on the lower level. The buffet was typically what you'll expect in Estonia-fruit, cereal, herring, lox, salad. eggs (not made to order), cold cuts,
juices ( not fresh) , coffee ( from a machine) and tea. On the weekends they add sparkling wine and ice cream. A solid breakfast to start the day.
All in all, Hotel Soho is a perfect place to stay in Tartu with its' central location, fresh and trendy déco, comfortable rooms, good breakfast and most importantly the check in staff that are exceptionally customer driven. There is nothing else that you can ask for in a 4* hotel.,More
