We only walked in a park as it was so early that it wasn’t open yet. Impressive collection of Lenin and other Sovjet time statues behind the palace. Really nice buildings with different styles combined.

This is a very interesting and nice museum about recent (1900+) Estonian history. I did not have time to finish the main exposition because there is so much to see I plan to return and visit the museum of cinema and pop music.
The castle is nicer from outside than inside. The view from the entrance is to Tallinn Bay, this was lovely. The whole garden and area is a great place for a walk on a sunny day. It's small tho. We went to see the Eurovision song contest museum at the same time, this was very boring and pointless.

Thank you for visiting Maarjamäe History Centre! I am glad that you found some positive moments in Maarjamäe, it is really beautiful here. But we don´t have Eurovision song contest museum - it is a pop-up exhibition inside the main exhibition "Sound of Freedom. The Story of Estonian Popular Music".
Average museum. But if you are traveling with children, you may wish to make a short visit to museum and have good time in the playground, located between palace and stables. In stables is located very unusul exhibition, devoted to Estonian artists of popular music during the Soviet occupation
Thank you for your comment. In Maarjamäe Palace one can find "The Childrens Republic" which is a playful learning environment designed for children aged 5 to 12.
The hole area with museums is worth of visit speacilly for families with young kids. Kids can play outdoor, plenty to explore at the museums and the restaurant is ok too in the main building but there is also possibility to eat your own food at the garden. Very nice destination!
