Hotel is situated in the middle of forest, some 15-20 km from Parnu. Ambient is typical for Northern Baltic- pines, sand, dunes and sea. I was here for 1-day conference ar main building, and for conference - it was o'k. I do not like strange remarks of soviet time.

The place is really nice. Beautiful, lonesome beach. The pine forest and the cottages make a real good assembly. The main house is quite amazing but very dark inside.

However, it is not properly used. The old soviet style could be more emphasized or integrated into a modern type of hotel.
Our room (in one of the cottages) was clean but the bathroom was quite old already. The beds and especially the linen are of poor quality. Very cheap furniture is placed in the rooms except the wooden floor which is new and nice.

On the other side, we had to pay 50 € per night which is too much for this region and this equipment (e.g. also no television - although we don't miss it). Further, breakfast was served only from 9-10!!! (Sunday).
The whole picture of the hotel is low quality but high price. The concept doesn't work since rich gulf players don't like it and students who would love it won't pay it. This is really a pity since it is a special place worth to be visited.

We would have stayed longer if either the quality would have been better or the price more appropriate. Lets hope for the best.

Apartments are extremely hot during summertime, no aircon available. Also cleaning is what it is, dead mosquitos all over the place and smell seems to come from some kind of moisture problem.

Beach is awesome.

I just spent a long weekend with three of my friends in one of the “terrace houses” of Villa Andropoff. The terrace houses are actually two-floor apartments in small row houses. You can book them as 2-bedroom or 3 bedroom apartments, the difference is they either leave one bedroom from downstairs locked or not. We had a 2-bedroom arrangement. The main building has the breakfast and dinner rooms, a bar and six hotel rooms. I think there is a sauna to be booked, too.

The whole establishment is at a nice beach, and the forest begins right from the beach. So the apartments are in practice in the woods. This means there are quite a lot of mosquitos day and night. The weekend we were there we had exceptionally hot weather, up to 29 C degrees. The apartments have no air conditioning, and the bedrooms we had were upstairs. So there you have some hot nights for you. We could of course have opened the windows and doors, if only the mosquitos weren’t out there. There was one ventilation hole with mosquito net, but that didn’t help much.

The apartment had 2 (+1) bedrooms, living room, kitchen, toilet, sauna and shower. It was quite shabby by now, mosquito stains and little marks of living all over the place. Also the beds looked dirty. The bath towels were small and thin. There was ventilation, but it produced more noise than change of air. The living room was just enough for the four of us, although the sofa(bed) was quite shaky already. On the other hand there was a free WLAN, warm/cold water, the fridge was working and there were glasses and other stuff in the kitchen. Most of all, this was quite CHEAP.

The reason we were there was golf. Villa Andropoff has cooperation with the nearby White Beach golf course, and we had a package with green fees and meals baked in. I actually had the impression, that Villa Andropoff would be at the golf course, but it is actually 2-3 km distance from it. So you need a car for going to the course and back.

The surroundings are as described in the review and pictures of the German reviewer, so no further comment on that. I don’t think my wife and kids would appreciate spending time there. The beach looked nice, though. The food was as expected (we didn’t expect much) and the service was a little clumsy but friendly.

In summary, the apartments are not for those that look for perfection. For our needs they would have been just fine, if only the weather hadn’t been that hot. But since you never know, I don’t recommend staying in this place, at least not in the apartments. It is in the middle of nowhere. There is no other attraction than the golf course, and since you need to car to get there, you might as well drive from the city of Pärnu. It takes only 15 minutes, and a taxi ride costs about 12 EUR. There are quite a lot of hotels there, and an amazing beach, too.

Room tip: If in the apartments, book a three bedroom version. It is cooler downstairs and costs very little extra. Or try the hotel rooms instead.
