Slovakia is a great place. Aqua City has everything you could want and more. The staff are lovely and helpful and the rooms are very clean and spacious. The food is plentiful and they accomodate all age groups well.

I was really looking forward to staying at the Mountain View hotel at Aqua city, but was left a bit disappointed. We were expecting a nice hotel in the mountains but it wasn't nowhere near the mountains, and the view of the Mountains is minimal as giant trees have been planted which seem to block the view. The reception staff struggled to understand English, when you work in the hotel industry staff should be fluent in multiple languages. For example to get them to understand that our room was hot & the Air conditioning in our room was non existent, they couldn't understand that. This was my main issue with the hotel the Air Conditioning in the rooms, the website advertises that the rooms had AC but we couldn't get the room any cooler, and when asking the reception staff they said they could control it from there and would sort it out, but this never happened. In the end we gave up and just opened the balcony door to cool down the room. But then this was quite noisy at night so had to close it so still had an uncomfortable hot nights sleep.
Apart from that the rooms are nice and modern, bathroom is nice & clean apart from the shower floods the floor every time you use it as the shower screen isn't big enough. We were half board so got Breakfast and Dinner included, food was OK, not the biggest of buffets, but what was served up tasted OK. Again staff struggled to understand our drink orders as they couldn't understand English. The bar next to the restaurant is nice for a quiet relaxing drink before or after dinner, the bar man was very friendly. There is a nice traditional Slovakia restaurant across the road from the hotel if you fancy something different for lunch or dinner.

Besides the actual hotel the Spa and Pool areas are great, with a great selection of different types of pools. The Fire & wellness centre is nice added touch, with some great different saunas and steam rooms, as well as a freezer room which is great for cooling off. I also paid extra for a Back & Shoulder massage which was nice and relaxing.

Overall we did enjoy the pool and spa areas but we felt a little let down by the hotel overall, and various areas for improvement.

Everything was perfect in general. Large and clean rooms, enough and good food. Aqua center was really perfect. Only a bit too crowded in the weekends... Very close to the Tatras where you can have also a great experience

Room tip: higher floors have better view to the mountains

We had a really lovely holiday here, the hotel is clean throughout, linen changed mid week and towels when needed, the staff are very helpful. The choice of food is good & varied.Gets busy @ the weekend though by visitors just coming for the swimming pools.

Large and clean rooms, good wifi. Personnel nice.
Breakfast on average, it is a pity for the smell which remains on your cloths and hair, ypu need to install a hood and local ventilation. The restaurant is a self-service; I would suggest to go out and you will find much better solutions. Smell of chlorine and humidity in the whole hotel as it houses different pools; the organization of the spaces is a bit cahotic.
