Exceptional service, brilliant food- the food was of a really high standard and good quality. The service and knowledge from Jan was amazing, top host.

We had a wonderful dinner here. The food was very good, with some original touches, the presentation lovely and the service pleasant. This is a pretty restaurant -- and hotel -- in a historic building. As you enter from the street, look up...one of the loveliest buildings in Kosice.

We had a first nice experience that day when we stopped for a coffee and decided to come back for dinner (big mistake). Now, the beauty of the building does not compensate the rudeness of the staff. We felt unwelcome (it was about 9 and they wanted to take the last order). Still, we waited a lot until the food arrived and that nicely described tender veal will turn out to be a huge plain snitzel. For a restaurant at that standard, you cannot serve plates like that...at those costs! Janos, the waiter didn't make the slightest effort to accommodate us and I may say that has nothing to do with being a waiter.

Superb quality drinks. This was a pleasant surprise only because so many places (in most countries) offer expensive cocktails but deliver mediocrity.

Espresso martini, Irish whisky sour, and a “True Pina”, all magnificent.

Dinner was fine, we ate here twice. However, unlike most places in Kosice, deserts were a true disappointment. Of the three desserts on the menu, for two days they did not have the one I asked for (chocolate meringue and raspberries in season), a black board with special desserts, but again when I ordered from the specials, they didn’t have the one I asked for (bananas in chocolate). So one evening I ordered a special asparagras dessert, and after she served it, the waitress told us that this was the first time the kitchen had ever made it, and they were asking each other how to do it, etc. etc. Why have things on the menu if you don’t know how to make them or have practiced them. And why have things on special blackboard that you don’t have when you could just erase it from the blackboard. Made no sense to me.
