I had as good a meal here as I’ve had anywhere in Europe. The dinner reminded me just how overlooked Kosice is as a place to visit.
I had been trying to eat here for a few days. But at least twice they were closed due to private occasions.
The atmosphere is understated elegance. The Hotel Slavia is here too. So one can enter via Hlavna Street or the hotel side. The bar is classic & attractive-it’s a great place to meet for a drink.
I started with a traditional soup of sheep cheese. Different and tasty. I then had the stroganoff. The slices of beef were tender & seasoned with paprika & other spices. Gear sauce. The dish did not come mixed with noodles as we expect in the US. Instead there was a side dish,gnocchi-like, but from wheat & no potatoes.
The sirloin of the stroganoff was so tasty. It was also not a heavy dish. And dipping the side into the sauce was great too.
Outstanding service-the waiter helped explain dishes.

Very authentic art deco design, recently renovated. Good kitchen. Interesting menu. Very friendly and motivated staff.

Beautiful dining hall for our 11 persons table. Large space ensuring distance with tables 4 by 4 max. Kind and professional waitiers. Very fresh and good meals and deserts. Recommanded wines were top as well. I appreciate much better that diner than the former one 4 months ago where we were a bit dissapointed. Sole remark is fact that there is no specific vegan meal proposed on the menu/card.
460e for 11 persons incl 6 starters, 11 main dishes, 10 deserts, 2 drinks/persons and 4 coffees. Quite good price.

No vegan options and the food was average. It is definitely overrated on trip advisor reviews. The service was acceptable and our waitress was pleasant. Note: if they have an event/party , the menu at the restaurant changes. The terrace is pleasant and interior tasteful. Honestly, nothing special and food was acceptable, nothing more.
