At the beginning, nobody understood why gallery was opened on such renote place. But it was a very good choice. Nice views fro gallery and contemplative place make it a right place to see when having a free half day.
Pros:
- very original concept
- interesting exhibitions
- not too overcrowded
Cons:
- as i mentioned, bit far from the downtown

Danubiana blew me away! Very cool place, amazing art and awesome views on Danube. The outside part of the gallery is so serene and peaceful, so try to visit when it is not raining so you can enjoy this part of Danubiana as well. From the art, look for Kiro Urdin’s Planetarium, it is an amazing project (not that there is a big chance you will miss it, as it is the biggest exhibited piece ).

What a stunning museum! Peaceful, serene, inspirational. You can wonder for a few hours through the inside, the roof and the gardens. It is rare to find a museum or an art expo that simply makes one HAPPY and FEEL GOOD.

What a beautiful place, well curated content, great buiding and gorgeous location. The Meulensteen Art Museum is truly must visit, and a day trip from Vienna is well worth it.

Although it's a little bit far from the city centre, visiting the museum is totally worth it! Not only does it have an extraordinary collection of contemporary art, but it also gives you an interesting perspective of the Danube river (due to the island-location, and the art-garden right next to the water)
It's for sure, my favourite location in Bratislava

(Ticket price 5euro - for student, ticket-package 20euro for 4-member-family)
(Easy transportation by bus, bus stop right next to the museum)

If you are intrested in modern art it's perfect place to spend time. Took a lot of nice pictures as well. Inside it has a tiny restaurant and it has amazing hot chocolate. Worth a visit!
