Came here on a free walking tour. A very moving visit. Really peaceful environment and place to reflect on the history of this city.

Definitely worth the taxi ride over - really interesting monument with in-depth history. It was lovely to visit on a sunny day.

This is a bit of a steep hill hike from city center, but definitely manageable for anyone in so-so shape. At the top, you have a nice monument, a wall of those remembered, and a good view. I'm not sure if this would be as impressive without the view. The obelisk itself is a pretty standard memorial. As for the view, much of the view you can get from the UFO Observation Deck if you wanted an alternative to the climb. In a city with few big attractions, this is a viable option to give a try, but not overly impressive.

An impressive monument to Soviet soldiers during World War 2. The monument has various areas to visit, the mass graves, the name wall and the monument itself.

The vantage point boasts impressive views. On a clear day you can even even see aircraft landing and taking off from the airport.

Getting to the monument requires walking up a fairly large hill.

Slavin is located 10 minutes of walk up the hill from Bratislava centre. You can see (even in rainy weather) whole city from there. The place itself its really big and the obelisk also.
