The main square of Gyor has been recently renovated and now has a water feature which is great for the hot summer months. It is home to the beautiful Benedictine church, Mary Column and other historical buildings which have also been given a face-lift as part of the renovation. One side of the large, paved plaza has a lot of restaurants which are great for relaxing and watching the plaza.

Definitely one of the must see attractions in Gyor.

Visited on Monday 9th October. We spent most of our time in Gyor in this square admiring the many beautiful building with so much history attached to them.

This place looks like a "mall" in the early 90's. Very modest. 2nd hand and low quality mass products shops, food place is very limited and bad quality and the area is a kind of 80's socialism feeling. Crowd is not really the educated ones. Restrooms smell. If you visit Győr there's only 1 standard mall (nothing special, but at least you can find some brand shops) which is the Árkád. Győr is a boring city anyway.
