Only for the beautiful building it worth a visit. It is 3 min walk from the Opera. The cafe is located within one of the most beautiful studio-house built from the end of 19th century, a neo-renaissance monument. It is also home to the Hungarian House of Photographers. The cafe is also well known of its interior and serves gluten free cakes too. It can get crowded in the evenings. Has been one of the fav places for actors from the nearby theaters for many years now.

We were just having a wander down the wonderful Andrassy Utca and decided to cut onto this pretty little square that looked really interesting.
As it was lashing down with rain we decided to pop into here for a quick coffee and what a superb choice this was.
The cafe is outstanding with wonderful decor and great furnishings and comfortable seating plus they have a really nice outside seating area looking out onto a very pleasant square.
A very nice member of staff took our order of a flat white coffee and after a short wait our coffee's arrived steaming hot and we just chilled out and soaked up the lovely atmosphee of this cafe.
It's certainly very popular and was really busy on our visit.
We moved on after our lovely coffee here but we had a very pleasant stay in this friendly cafe.
Very easy to locate by walking down Andrassy Utca were you cut onto Nagymezo Utca and you will find this cafe housed in a beautiful building in a great looking square.
Opening hour's are;
Monday to Sunday,10am till 1am.
A lovely cafe and well worth checking out.

Mai Manó café (Mai Manó Kavezo) is a lovely café housed in a gorgeous building in the theatre area of Budapest.Located in a multi-storey house built in 1894 by the royal photographer to exhibit Hungarian photography this is a wonderful café to visit when in this area of Budapest.Went here while walking along Andrássy Utca and as it started to rain quite heavily we decided to go in here and have a quick coffee.Mai Manó café has a lovely comfortable interior with many interesting art exhibitions on the walls with good seating options inside and when the weather is fine great outside seating.When here we opted to have one of the café's speciality coffee's called Phoenix which was excellent and price wise extremely cheap.This is a great café to relax and have the beverage of your choice as they also serve beer and cocktails plus it is located in a very interesting area of Budapest.Located on Nagymező Utca very easy to find from metro stop Opera walk along Andrássy Utca then turn onto Nagymező Utca a five minute walk.
Opening hours are.
Monday-Sunday-10.00-01.00
Nearest metro or tram.
Metro-Opera-M1
