Description: Baraka is a fine dining restaurant creating gourmet Euro-Asian cuisine located in the beautiful Palazzo Dorottya very close to Vörösmarty Square. Very interesting and well developed wine list that pairs perfectly with our multi layered dishes. Food too beautiful to eat, but after the first bite, the culinary journey begins. We offer only either four or six course tasting menus, the best way to enjoy a gastronomic evening.

We had a tasty sensational dinner here. The cantaloupe soup with unusual ingredients and preparation was a great start. The owners home made bread was unique in taste. The tomato salad burst with flavors and with various types. The main course was great. The silky tofu dessert was out of the world. Each bite we experienced different flavors.

We wanted to have a fine dining experience in Budapest and Baraka did not disappoint us. Creative dishes along the scheme (at the time of our visit- Summer childhood memories) were interesting.
Taste of food and visual presentation were both pleasing.
We were lucky to dine in the last minutes!

The service at Baraka is exceptional. We had a drink at the bar and the bartender had some great recommendations. The cocktails are original and taste great! For dinner we decided on the six course tasting menu with wine pairings. We were not disappointed. Every pairing brought out the flavor of the food along with the wine. At times we all sat back and marveled at the combinations that created such distinctive great tasting dishes. Much of the meal was created from local ingredients or ingredients found in the region. The experience takes a while(3.5 hours), especially if you order an extra course in the middle, but it's well worth the time. The cost is in line with what one would expect for a meal of this caliber. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Our last night here & we wanted something special. We were not disappointed. Their cocktails are very unusual—& good. They include a George in Japan—yes, Clooney. Our sommelier recommended a Cabernet from Serbia. I was hesitant with all the nice French & Italian wines on the list, but went with his suggestion. It was a 2008. Probably best cab I have had under $80. As for the food, highly recommend the rack of lamb. My cousin had the Hake & raved about it. Everything was great. After the meal, we met the owner. Very nice young family man—originally from NY.

Highly recommend this place. Great atmosphere & even greater food. Nothing here is ordinary.
