The room was very good and clean with all mod cons. It had a German toilet I would have preferred an English version! The breakfast was good except the coffee machine did not produce hot coffee. One had to top it up with hot water.
The reception staff were helpful but insisted on taking a 30 euro deposit for the potential use of the mini bar in our room. When we arrived in the room, I inspected the minibar. There was no price list for the items it contained, so I decided not to use it. It looked rather like a trap for unwary tourists. A large bottle of water was left on the top of the dressing table with no note attached to it, so I thought that it was a complimentary bottle as one often gets in some countries where you cannot drink the tap water. At the end of the stay, I dicovered that it was part of the minibar. I explained that there had been no indication that this was not complimentary they made me pay the equivalent of £2.00 for it which I gave them in loose change and asked that no money shouls be taken from the deposit that I had paid and that this should be refunded to me in full. The receptionist said that this should should be done in a week. It is now over a week and I have not received my money back!! This is not good enough!

Room tip: watch the minibar make sure they give you a price list

We traveled to Budapest for the first time and got this hotel at a decent price through lastminute.com It is a "bed and breakfast" hotel and as long as you want nothing more than that and get a decent price its grand as there is nothing else going on here. Its modern, minimalist style. Most rooms don't have an outside window but are circled round an inner atrium. Room a bit small perhaps but as anyome who uses this hotel will only use it to crash put before heading out the next day, its not a problem You want a hotel to lounge around in, go somewhere else. Its location is good, a wee bit out of the centre but the public transport in Budapest is excellent, very very cheap and easy to understand. Blaha Lubja Metro station is just round corner, two stops and you are in the heart if Budapest. Best thing about this hotel - the reception staff. Alexandra who was on duty the day we checked out has got to be one of the best you will find anywhere - cool, unflappable, eager to help and utterly delightful.

The building looked traditional on the outside but was very modern on the inside. Due to the decor, colors and based on the fact there was a huge atrium above all floors constantly gave an airy feeling to the environment. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel was 1 minute away form tram and metro station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the other hand, rooms were quite small but bearing in mind it was a boutique hotel would definitely make me recommend it.

We booked this hotel and cost £110 for 2 nights which was a bargain, this includes English/ continental breakfast from 7-10 am

Great location and minutes from all the action of Budapest.

The staff who are friendly speak good English, on check in you have to leave a €20 euro deposit by card or cash, and this is for the mini bar. Happy to have paid it although a little disappointed by it.

The rooms are of a decent size, nice decor with flat screen tv which is awkwardly placed to the left side of the room. Bathroom is compact and clean with power shower.

The hotel feels like an art gallery with its long angled walls with pendulum clocks and large plastic decor.

The only downside to this hotel is that you don't have a view of the outside, (might be a few rooms only) so you don't know whether its light or dark, raining or sunny. As a result you can't judge what to wear out.

No hotel is perfect, but if I go Budapest again, I'll be booking his hotel for sure!
