We went to these baths after a recommendation from a friend - as we wanted somewhere not overly touristy but with beautiful architecture and this was perfect.
The entrance fee is very cheap almost half the price of the main spas like Gellert, I’m a student and it was 2200 HUF which is about £6 and my mother was 2800 HUF which is around £8 for entrance with a cabin. The staff were also very friendly and helpful as we were confused about where to get towels - remember to get them at the front desk or you’ll have to go down in your swimsuit.
The main domed pool’s architecture is fabulous and feels both authentic and lively and it’s great to relax - there are two other pools one very hot one very cold, and a beautiful steam room/ hamam which smells like fresh mint. There is also a sauna. There is a very good mix of people both older bathers and young students and not at all touristy.
You can tell that the spa hasn’t been decorated for a while, and I agree the outside building could do with some fresh paint - but the interior has a great amount of charm and grandeur which I feel is less tangiable in the newly renovated spas. The spa is also very clean - but I would reccomend people bring flip flops to walk from the changing rooms to the baths as the tile floors are rather slippery.
We left feeling relaxed and refreshed and enjoyed a really delicious fresh juice from the cafe before we left. I would reccomend it to anyone who wants to have an authentic spa experience.
