It is unclear what happened to this restaurant, given its high Gault Millau scores and the excellent reviews below up until last year.
We had on of the most disappointing restaurant experiences ever here.
The scallops for starters were cooked and presented in the most imaginative way. Hardly any seasoning, and completely overpowered by a sweet and overdosed mango dressing, combined with an equally sweet mango compote. A third creamy (and unidentifiable) tuff complemented the dish.
The fish dishes for the main course were even worse: in one case all taste was killed by a very big and sugary-sweet carrot mash that accompanied the dish, in the other the tuna was clumsily baked and put atop a very creamy and sweet soup with vegetable slivers.
The excuse provided was ‘this is French cuisine’.
The waiters tried their very best to save the restaurant’s face (and can’t be faulted). We suspect that the cook was on a holiday and that the cleaning staff took over the kitchen.
Just avoid this place.
