Owner description: Lovingly restored after being reduced to rubble during World War II, this picturesque area is located in the heart of medieval Budapest, which is characterized by cobblestone streets, narrow alleys and lovely squares surrounded by baroque and classical buildings.

It's hard going getting up the hill there is a combination of ramps and stairs but slight exertion required ...well worth it when you get to the top and get an amazing view of the Danube and surrounding landmarks.
Best climbed at dusk to get views of Budapest lit up

It’s well worth the effort making the trip up the hill as there are several nice buildings to visit!
We used the small bus service and you get a good tour of the whole area which has good views across the rest of the city

Took an electric minibus up the slope to the top.
Once on Castle Hill, it is just walking around and take in the amazing view.
Plenty to see up there and continue walking all around to .......
all the sights.

I'm not totally able bodied so can struggle with too much walking. However I decided to walk up this hill. There actually looked to be a free lift half way up so that could be a good compromise if you get tired easily. There were lots of little historical walls on the way up which were tourist free as they were all waiting for the tram up. I'd suggest going in the morning as there were alot of tourist at the top.

Worth the climb, although it's also possible to catch the 16 bus to Castle district. Great views at the top.
