The Hilton Budapest is on the Buda side – the passive side of the river if you are visiting the city for its nightlife. Whilst there is an amazing view of the Parliament Building from the hotel and it is very close to the Castle district, you will have to taxi back after a night out.
The Hotel itself has just been remodelled and they were installing a new entrance during our stay. The hotel lobby doesn’t have much going for it and was very quiet during our stay. However, the rooms are very specious and offer a number of amenities. We were upgraded to a ‘loft suite’, which was a hotel room spread over three floors and included a separate kitchenette area that we didn’t use. There was a standalone living room with a sofa bed, a dining area on a mezzanine floor and a large bedroom area with a bathroom (bath and separate shower). The room was very clean, had USB charging, thermostats in the bedroom and living room and two television.
We were also very happy with the service provided to us by the concierge – our preferred restaurant in the city was closed due to a power cut and the alternative booked to us by the concierge was one of the best places in town and very affordable.
I would recommend this hotel for those who want a quiet Budapest getaway.More
