“Nice hotel, good location, enjoyed my week there”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 November 2011

Have read reviews from others who had issues with the breakfast, but it offered more than most of the hotels I have been to in Europe. There was always scrambled eggs and eggs over easy along the usual breakfast items. The hotel does not sell stamps, but the post office is 1 block down the street. Only 2 blocks from the Danube, it is so easy to get around. The train station is a 30 minute walk if you want to hop the train to Vienna. Only issue I had was that water leaked out from underneath the shower. Room offered a nice big closet, bed was comfortable, mini bar in the room that had extra room in the fridge for extra drinks if you want to buy and free wifi. When I first got in the room, none of the lights work. There was an outlet next to the bathroom that you put your room key in and allows the lights and other outlets to work.

Stayed at the Cosmo Fashion Hotel for 3 nights with a group of friends in late October 2011. We reserved through lastminiute.com and emailed ahead to arrange a twin room which the hotel kindly provided.

The hotel is located on Váci ucha, one of the main pedestrianized shopping streets. Our room boasted a nice view of the street and partial view of the Danube. It is centrally located the main public transport options including the red line hop-on & hop off bus and a metro route.

Check-in for the group was very efficient, with the receptionist Peter providing helpful tips about bars to visit and the dangers of flagging taxis from the street.

Bedrooms were very satisfactory; recently renovated, clean, warm and well sound proofed from the street. Beds were of good quality and provided a good night sleep.

Unfortunately we didn’t rise early enough to partake in breakfast, but the other meals we had at the hotel were of good quality and reasonably priced.

We very much enjoyed staying at the hotel and would be happy to recommend it for a mini-break in Budapest.

Room Tip: Besure to email ahead if you'd like a twin room.

The hotel is new, clean, and a modern trendy boutique hotel with affordable prices.
The real advantage that it is reaaly very central to the river banks and on one of the major shopping streets / pedestrian areas. Easy accesible for taxis though.

The only disadavantage: Breakfast takes place in a run down smoky bar that you have to enter through some kind of a back door in the morning. You entzer a total diferent world then, which has nothing to do with the atmosphere in the Hotel. i would rather recommend to book this hotel without breakfast and to look for one of the nicer cafes on this street in the mornibg to have breakfast.

Other then that I would highly recommend the hotel!
They've got a partner hotel (same owners: The Mellow Mood Group), which I saw by coincidence and that's even more spectaculour if you are in boutique hotels: La Prima Fashion Hotel, 1052 Budapest, Pesti Barnabás utca 6., Hungary +36 1 799 0088 ‎ laprimahotelbudapest.com

A good central position for seeing most of the sights. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast disappointing

I stayed at this hotel for one night only. The good points were a comfortable bed, a good location for the purpose of my trip, polite staff and nice pillows. There were many bad points. The room was tiny, it was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The window was open and I couldn't close it because it was too high up for me to reach. The room faced Vaci utca and the noise from outside, as well as from the other rooms and the corridor, was extremely annoying. The breakfast was shocking - cold fried eggs, cereal, but no bowls to be seen, as well as driy-looking cheese and slices sausage. I had a strange-tasing croissant and some tea out of a chipped mug and went to Mammut to get some food instead. Need I say it - I won't stay again.

Room Tip: 107 was a nightmare of a room to stay in.
