Very affordable hungarian lunch in nice atmosphere. This place is super busy at the lunch time(noon), but usually it is possible to squeeze in. Three courses menu is under four euros and food is typical hungarian food, which is perfect if you are not a vegetarian.

We were recommended this by the hotel and so glad we tried it. Definitely a gem in Budapest. Food was excellent, so many things on the menu I wanted to try and would definitely return to do so, never tried Hungarian food and was very impressed. Staff are wonderful, great English and so accommodating. Cosy and bustling restaurant, would have expected to pay more but was really good price. Can't recommend enough.

We were recommended this place by an old man on the metro, so you know it's good ;) Just downstairs from our apt! Very high quality food for low prices, helpful staff. He had me change my duck order for crispy duck with cabbage, which he said is more Hungarian. My husband had the rosemary lamb. And they even accommodated a tired 3 year old with scoops of mashed potatoes and bread and butter. Would have stayed for dessert if said three year old hadn't started falling asleep on the table. ;)

Delicious food, affordable prices, good service and a nice milieu. Even though it is located very central it feels like a local hungarian restaurant.
