As an introduction to the August evening of culinary pampering, on the Tartini Square with a view of the growing moon, we were given aromatic, coolly cooled gazpacho. We continued with three dishes of cold sea delicacies: citrus marinated sea bass on salad bed, beautiful marinated fresh scampi and the plate of a dinner - a lobster salad with white truffles. The fresh truffles were sliced on the lobster at our table. We anointed the plates with fresh in house made bread with olives. Since we love white truffles, we decided to continue with an extraordinary risotto cooked in champagne. The Chef as previously, at our table sliced the white truffles over the risotto. Good, really good it was a winning dish. We closed the evening with a pistachio frost. At the recommendation of the owner, we chose Lisjak chardonnay for the wine of the evening, which perfectly married to all the plates. We highly recommend the visit.

We visited La Bottega Dei Sapori mainly because there are no other restaurants with vegan options in Piran. We sat inside so we could cool off a bit in a well air conditioned restaurant.
The menu we received was very simple and the prices seemed very cheap for a location like that.
I ordered a marinated potato dish which was wrapped in a plastic bag. The presentation maybe wasn't my favorite but the taste was definitely worth it. My girlfriend was also happy with the dish.
The place maybe lacks some atmosphere as it is very quiet on the inside but the interior was comfortable in any case.
La Bottega Dei Sapori is my go-to place when in Piran, mostly because of the good vegan offer.

Had the veal in lemon sauce and monkfish mains on our first visit which were so good that we returned for other amazing dishes with some memorable starters. Loved sitting in the square watching the world go by and can only recommend this lovely restaurant.

I have eaten here on two separate occasions and i have been impressed both times.
The quality of the food is outstanding and the generosity of the chef when serving the black truffles is amazing. This family really know their produce, they know where it came from, they are passionate about it and this comes through in the quality of the meal. The location is also excellent, set in the edge of the Tartini Sq with a view if the inner harbour.

We were there for a family dinner and were suprised with the quality of everything: the food, the drinks, the service, the furniture. We ordered a menu and the chef herself talked us through the different courses. You could see, that everything is homemade and well thought-through. Each course was something special and every course had something special in it. They all went together beautifully and were accompanied by local beers, wines and other drinks. The owner made recommendations for the drinks, which were truly valuable - make sure to listen to his advice, he knows what he's talking about.
The dessert was absolutely fantastic. We would have loved to eat double the amount (or even triple). Even the vegetarian version of the menu was outstanding, made with love and very tasty.
The only critical point was that it took hours to eat. Literally. I would recommend to keep the times between the individual courses a tad shorter; three quarters of an hour is slightly too long - especially because we had dessert at almost 11 pm, which is really late.

In short, our overall impression was very good: the restaurant is led by a couple who really care about what they do and who put all their passion into pleasing their guests.
