Get there early for dinner, as this family run restaurant gets packed out with locals - I would recommend you book in advance - the seafood is superb, as is the pasta - the service second to none - reasonably priced - highly recommended !

I ordered fried scampi with rice. Portion cost 16 euros and was ridiculously small and it had no taste at all. Very disappointed. Never again to Pavel.

We ate five lunches and dinners at Pavel 1 and 2. We had only fish, whose quality was consistently fine. Whole fish, oven baked particularly recommended., as is sea bass carpaccio. Pavel 1 is the better of the two restaurants on the strength of its clearly superior service level. Good short wine list, house Malvasia good value. Wonderful views of the Piran seascape. Good value for the quality offered. It would be a pity no to to eat fish here.

The food was average. We had the mussels and they were so small it was hardly worth the effort. The spaghetti carbonara was not the best however the calamari was delicious. The waiter was very grumpy and that spoilt our experience.

We visited this restaurant with our kids. It is located at very turistic part of town so it´s busy in the evenings. Locality is nice. The design of the restaurant is traditional, but quite old and used up. The food is very averidge for touristic prices. What is THE problem is the staff. They are super slow, it took them years to serve us and at the end we were in hurry and asked to pay it was so long that we left the money on the table (far more than was needed) and left.

Honestly we tried various restaurants in Portoroz, Piran, Koper, Lucia... this one was THE WORSE !!!!!

I can’t find any reason, why you should visit it. STAY AWAY from this place please.

Thank Tomdesign
