A luxury hotel with awesome location and huge rooms ….. the breakfast was very good and I must mention that the concierge has been working there for decades and a hotel tour is a must do activity. However a tip for travellers that the seventh floor rooms near elevator should be avoided as they have connecting doors with adjacent rooms. We were not able to sleep for two nights as we got noisy neighbours.More

Grand and historic hotel, in the classical tradition.
Elegantly luxurious, beautifully appointed, and very comfortable. Good breakfast.
The staff are friendly and efficient. A minor housekeeping mishap was handled graciously.
The location is amazing: situated on Krakowskie avenue, full of historic buildings and good shopping, only a few minutes walk from Castle Square and the Old Town.
A bus stop with direct service to the airport is just in front of the hotel.

Hotel Bristol is a part of a Luxury Hotel Collection from Marriott. This classification comes with some very high standards and should be the very best of service and amenities that Marriott has to offer. Not in this case. While the upgraded room was nice, it was not on par with other Luxury Collections my husband and I frequent often. The most disappointing part of the stay were the services and amenities. Their one of the kind bar was closed for a remodel, and in place of it they had a banquet room set up for a stuffy cocktail service not at all in line with what is expected in a hotel of this caliber. Secondly we asked the concierge to make dinner reservations for us, and his recommendations yielded food so awful it was inedible. It was brought to his attention and of course the typical "they are suppose to be an amazing restaurant" answer was provided. We are still in dispute with this restaurant over our bill 3 months later, and since they have gone out of business it is a loss. For those who do not know this, concierges get a "kickback" from all restaurants they send people to, so in this case the concierge made money on the dinner that made us sick. My honest advice is to stay at Ruffles across the street which is a real 5 star hotel with great bar staff and is an extension of the most amazing Ruffles in Singapore. The Bristol is simply an inferior hotel that does not offer the customer service expected from a Luxury Collection from Marriott.

2nd stay at hotel 10 years later, had a great time, staff very polite and helpful, hotel very clean in all areas, we stayed for two nights as a get away break with use of the spa/pool and also had some fantastic treatments which were incredible, we use the new relaunched bar twice and again staff and drink offer was vey positive and warming.

A Luxury Collection
First trip in a couple of years so I am just very happy about that. Now, this can be a great hotel but it was good enough for what we wanted.
Check-in. Greeted at the car by a bellhop. Always a good start. We were there with another couple for the Chopin competition. We had a Jr Suite. Our first room was like a suite with two distinct rooms overlooking the courtyard. Next day we asked for another room in the same class and we got one large room overlooking the street. That was more to our liking and we appreciated they were able to accommodate. One strange thing was in the first room, the toilet seat was not connected to the toilet. However, it was fixed immediately. They also provided a bottle of wine. Nice.
The room itself was spacious. Only drawback was the closet was a bit small and the room safe was pretty high. But we can live with that. The toilet is closed off and it also had a separate shower and tub. The toilet supplies were pretty standard. The bed was very comfortable and I especially liked the squishy pillows. They may have more firm ones but we did not ask for any. We were in room 311.
The Breakfast Buffet is back!! We found the hours very accommodating, the room was nice and the food selection was good. The service was also good so we enjoyed every breakfast. Note if you book it at the front desk the night before, it will save you some money.
Only disappointment is the bar. We like to have a nightcap with our friends. One time the bar was closed to a private party. All nights, it closed at 11 or before. We went to the Raffles bar across the street but it would have been better if our hotel had a bar with decent hours and was available. Also, there was a Lanes restaurant that was used for a private party but was not 'officially' open at this point in time. Should be opening in Nov.
The location was fantastic and also liked that they had transportation available out front. It cost more than a taxi but much more convenient. The main street closes to traffic on weekends so cars need to navigate the streets behind the hotel.
The Bristol Cafe is a nice place for a quick bite. One complaint, we wanted to eat breakfast there and the front desk told us it opened at 8 but did not open until 9.
As for Covid. They have rules but the guests either followed them or they did not. No one challenged anyone so you do what you can yourself if you want to be safe. The staff usually wore masks.
I would stay here again.
