Could not fault this hotel. It was clean and tidy. The staff were impeccable.

Closely located within walking distance of a lot of places (and we walked everywhere in Warsaw). Would not hesitate to stay again if we ever come back to Poland, which I’m very much hoping we will!

I stayed at this hotel for four nights with friends and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a nice, clean hotel in the city center.

Location: The hotel is located directly next to a large shopping mall, which we visited to stack up on water and snacks for the room. The trains to and from the airport also stop close to the hotel. We used the hotel's transfer service from the airport (192 PLN for a max. of six people) because we got in pretty late at night. The driver picked us up at the airport with a sign, which was very comfortable. For the way back, we took the train to the airport, which took about 20 minutes.

The room: Both rooms were very comfortable and clean, as were the bathrooms. The shower was pretty nice and large, only it's an open shower without a door, so every shower would more or less soak the entire bathroom floor. The toilet would sometimes not stop flushing for a while. There is a small closet, a safe and a mini bar and enough space to open up and store a suitcase or bags.

Wellness area: The wellness/fitness area was also clean. I didn't visit the sauna myself, my friend did and said it was fine. The whirlpool is pretty small and was sometimes filled with children, which made it difficult to relax. I'm not sure whether the area had an age limit, if it did, it wasn't enforced, as the children were definitely younger than 8.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel or visit the bar, though both are available.

I can definitely recommend the hotel, it's a nice place to stay if you're out in the city all day, as it's located very centrally.

Surprised with the high rating here. Yes, the breakfast is very good, and the location. Otherwise, there is a strong sewage smell in the entrance of the hotel, and the same in the bathroom, which was not well cleaned anyway. Very cheap towels. Old furniture in the room, carpets too, and they smell old. Oh and by the way, if anyone from the hotel is reading this: on 31 May 2019, at exactly 13:45, we asked the receptionist if he could kindly call us a taxi. He offered us their shuttle, for over 2 times the regular price. We declined, and he was "unable" to get through to a taxi company. Overall, I would not stay here again.

Dear leka9,

Thank you for leaving a genuine comment on here - as it's the most important feedback for improving the quality of service. We are glad that you enjoyed the breakfast offer and took advantage of the central location.

Please rest assured that even if the room seems to have some marks of time - we are putting utmost effort to maintain perfect cleanliness. We are of course continuously renovating the rooms and other hotel areas - therefore we invite to try our Superior Rooms that will surely surprise you with modern and sleek design.

Regarding the transfers - we recommend the cars cooperating with the hotel as they offer pre-fixed prices, premium quality and instant availability. We believe that such service is worth the price, especially in the rush hours. Nevertheless, I will speak with the employee to make sure he did his best in organising the taxi you actually requested at that time.

We truly hope, despite these inconveniences, that you will visit us again so we could try to make your stay an outstanding one.

Best regards,
Maciej Sitkowski

I loved this hotel. It is a short distance from the Central Station so handy for arriving or departing by train or getting to or from the airports. I only stayed one night but want to go back. It is very central with the Palace of Culture just down the street.

My room was huge, spotlessly clean and felt quite fresh. The bed was enormous and very comfortable indeed. The public areas were very spacious and airy.

As with all the other Polish Mercures I have stayed at they have adopted the Winestone brand and the food and drink is very good value indeed. Breakfast was most impressive and included freshly made pancakes and a dripping honeycomb.

I did not engage with too many staff but those I did were helpful and friendly and all spoke reasonable to excellent English.

The price I paid was very reasonable too.

Mercure offers a mixed bag depending on city. This one is very good (we stayed in a superior room). Positives: (1) Friendly staff all round; (2) Wonderful breakfast. A few things stand out - fruit juicer, honey from honey comb; fresh pancakes; (3) Clean, large, rooms with well appointed bathroom. However, the towels were small, thin and cheap looking; (4) Fast, reliable wifi; (5) Comfortable bed; (6) Quiet.

Some areas for improvement: (1) Bath towels; (2) Maybe a hook or two extra to hang towels; (3) Some place to place a second piece of luggage. As mentioned above, two of the highlights for breakfast are the fruit juicer and fresh pancakes. However, they are not available until nearly 8 am.

The shower stall doesn't have a door, just a glass panel. This means it's very easy to have wet bathroom floors after a shower. Only one English news channel - Eurochannel.

Note that this hotel is about a 20-25 minute walk to the old town. However, it's very close to the central station (less than 5 minutes walk) where you have a number of options for public transport (best to use the trams) to the old town (about 15 minutes). Right outside the hotel is a large shopping mall.
