We have been to Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences Zakopane a few times already. A lot has changed since our first visit. The staff gained experience and got used to both guests and Radisson Blu’s standards. Recently launched private SPA zone is certainly one of the high-lights of this place.
The rooms are clean, spacious and nicely furnished. Really comfy!
However the food offer is a huge disappointment. Food is still very monotonous, rather low quality and dishes that could be a real fancy feature of this place are even less interesting, even more bland. Sad. Dinner was even more disappointing for us than the breakfast buffet. The offer was minimal here, and the majority of dishes were cold cuts of cheese, sausages, salads, vegetables, fruit and desserts prepared much earlier. Hot food was served according to the scheme - one soup, few vegetables, lots of carbohydrates, meat, fish. During our several visits, we always left somewhat hungry and disgusted. After all, if we feel like visiting Zakopane, we will not hesitate to stop at the local Radisson. However, we'll get our food elsewhere. By the way - we have an extended review of this hotel, with loads of photos, posted on our site.

Dear upgrdpl,

It has been a pleasure having you again as a guest of our hotel.

I would like to express my gratitude for the moment of time that you have devoted to few words about our services.

This is a priceless opportunity for us to know how good we are and to discover new ways to be the best!

Being a team of welcoming and caring hosts, we are constantly learning how to satisfy every single guest according to his own demands and expectations.
It is an on-going process simply because each person is unique.

I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed the Spa.

It was extremely sad to learn that you were disappointed with the food we served during your stay.
I would like to highly recommend our a la carte restaurant, and you are always welcome to ask our staff and they will do their upmost to meet your wish.

I am looking forward to welcoming you again in the nearest future.

Again I would like to apologize that we did not meet your full expectation.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in picturesque Zakopane. Staff were very friendly , highly efficient & above all very courteous. Breakfast buffet was amazing every morning with a great selection of local fresh produce. Spa facilities were outstanding. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Would gladly return again.

Very nice hotel with professional staff. It was clean and in a good location. A 10 minute walk from the centre and next to the aqua park and cheese museum. Also a nice sauna and games rooms with PlayStations etc for children.

In addition the room had lovely views of the mountains

Just returned from 4 nights skiing in Zakopane. There were 7 in our party, 4 adults and 3 children. On the whole the hotel was spot on. Probably one of the best hotels in the area. Room was lovely and spacious. Beds very comfy. We asked for a cot in our room for our 19 month old and all was fine. Pool and area is lovely, really relaxing. Also an area that you can store skis and also you can borrow sledges from the hotel which is great. Breakfast lovely and at in the Brasserie last night which was also excellent and very reasonably priced.

The only downsides I would say are the basics - our room didn’t get cleaned and on the second day it got to 3pm and still had not ben cleaned (I’d even put the sign on the door!). I told reception about it and they were great and got two girls to come and clean the room an hour or so later (though they didnt look too happy about it!).

There was also an incident when we checked out (we had to leave at 4am) and the receptionist, who to be fair to her did not speak great English, tried to charge my wife and our friend for a treatment in the spa that they had already paid for. This just led to a painfully awkward conversation with everyone looking at each other and not understanding one another, which at 4am we didnt need ! They accepted it in the end and said it must be an error with the computer but it was a little unprofessionally handled and the timing didnt help with it being the last thing that we remembered from the hotel.

That would not however dissuade us from staying at this hotel again. We had a fantastic time and would recommend it to anyone. We are only mentioning these things so that the hotel can work on them and become even better !

Rented a suite in the so called residential part (linked with the main building via corridor). The room was large enough and comfortable. Some minor issues concerning the cleanliness (an old dirty towel left hanging on the heater), but except for that really nice. The location - a plus, yet, I would put a big question mark on the whole of Zakopane. The issues to point out: breakfast - the capacity of the restaurant not adequate to holiday peak (but the service tried to react and resolve as they - a fair effort), then the outside parking (residential part) - the ticket machine (one on the entry barrier side) froze or something causing problems when trying to enter, and last - the hotel restaurant opening at 3 pm... being there with small kids, we had to use room service for lunch (not convenient at all). Generally however, a good experience and worth recommendation.
