“Great value - one of the best hostels I've stayed in”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2011

This hostel is really top notch - first of all, all the extras that you so often have to pay for now are included in the price - special shout out to free laundry facilities! The staff really were fantastic aswell - professional, informative and probably around for a beer later on :) Location wise, its an easy tram ride to the train/bus station, and about a 10 minute walk to the main square and castle areas. The surrounding area is great too for beers and eats. The only gripe I would have is that the shower facilities are a little sparse. Also, they cooperate with a tour company who runs trips to Auschwitz and the Salt Mine amongst others and though it is nice to be picked up from the hostel and dropped back afterwards, these trips can be done far cheaper independently. Hardly the hostels fault though! All in all, had a fantastic time here, and would definitely stay again!!

We were stay there 2 days before our trip to Ukraine and another 3 after that trip.

Hostel is located in about 30-35 min walk from Krakow train station, but if you have a map with you it is not a problem to get there. It is very quite location, close to all attractions of Kazimierz district, cheap eateries and shops. As this part of the city is not so popular among the tourists, prices in shops are much better than in Old Town.

Hostel staff is very very helpful ,they agreed to keep an eye on our luggage during our absence - (we went to Chernobyl for couple of days), can organize you a trip to the most popular local attractions or if you want to go alone they advise you how to get there. Generally they great :)

There is a PC room where you can use an internet (I am not sure about WiFi - have not got my laptop with me so I did not bother to check), appropriate breakfast and a small garden. Everything what you need to start your day properly.

Bar in the basement deserve couple of extra sentences. It looks cool (even for me - I come from Poland), I really like the atmosphere there and I am just courios how many train has too be plunder to get all that stuff and furnitures ;) I has to be quite a job :D
Nice place to meet a new people and get an info about what to do next.

I highly recommend that place for all sort of travellers.

I will highly recommend Good Bye Lenin Hostel and will stay there again during my next visit.

went as a group of 25 people on a tour to krakow and this place suited all our needs. they picked us up from the aiport, ordered food for us when we arrived late on our first night, and sorted us out with 4 of our own rooms.
the bar is very spacious and good for having drinks in before heading to the centre of town which is 10 minutes of so walk away. on our first night when we didn't know where to go, a couple the hostel employees took us out and showed us the best places.
all in all a great place if you want to have a fun fee days in krakow

Was a little hard to find, once arrived where taken to our room which was a dorm. when we went down we where given a shot and told where the best places to go where. The common room was great to meet fellow travels. we where ment to be only staying for 3 nights and we ended up staying for 5 as we meet another group and we went to see some sights with them. Breckfast was brill but you need to get down early as it soon goes. I wouldnt recommend children to stay there as it was a bit of a party hostel alot of drinking going on and people up late. The cleaners where lovely always left our room spotless. Shared shower was alittle bit of a hassle as there was so many waiting to use it. Staff where so friendly and knew how to get everyone talking and enjoying them selves. Will defo be traveling back to poland and staying there, Keep up the good work guys, thanks for a great stay :-D
Most go to the jewish quarter in Krawow - some of the best food i'v ever ate .. yum yum
