My wife and I came here on a Friday afternoon and had a lovely experience.

Parking is free and entrance costs 14.00PLN per adult (about $4.00USD).

The walk up to the top takes no more than 5 minutes and the views of Krakow are unmatched.

This place is not to be missed!

I forced my travel buddy to go with me to this mound... and we were very happy we did!
We got the tram (1, 2, or 6 - it wasn't expensive, a few zł) from the old town and got off at the last stop.
We walked up the hill from the stop and enjoyed the gentle walk along the tree lined road.
The road is a little uneven and uphill, so be gentle if you aren't a strong walker. (You can also get the "Hop on Hop off" bus (and probably other buses) and it drops you off at the mound if you want - but we liked the walk!)

We did get lost walking around the building surrounding the mound.
Eventually found the entrance, 10zł per person. And enjoyed what we found.
A narrowish pathway wrapped around the mound, with a delightful pattern of the path too! It's a nice height to walk up, (I'd be mindful if you suffer vertigo) but the views around Kraków were spectacular! We went on a mostly sunny day, and got great views of the area. We did pay a few coins to look through the binoculars on top, and got a great view of the old town (a few kms away!)
We took a gentle stroll back down and stopped in at the cafe towards the bottom (20gr for bathrooms)and had coffee/tea and a very yummy apple slice!
We took the gentle walk back to the tram, bought tickets on the tram andthe short ride back to the city.

A great morning out!

After a short walk around a museum on the mound and fort, you start a gentle walk up the mound. Once up at the top the views of Krakow and surrounding area are spectacular.

it is a really nice place to visit, to see Krakow from above. it involves a lil bit of hiking so i recommend going there when weather is nice an it is not too windy. I really liked it there. Once you are there go to museum and wax exhibition. I had lot of fun there.
