From the top of the mound there is a stunning 360 degree view of Poland, it is beautiful. Also provides a history of General Kosciuszko, which is quite interesting and Poland's inevitable struggle for freedom. Worth a visit

This Mound of honour as a tribute to the great Polish Leader, Traeusz Kosciuszko, has also a tribute in Australia. Polish explorer, Count Paul Strzelecki named the highest peak Mt. Kosciuszko ; it is 2228 metres in height. It is a great honour to climb both!

We took a bus tour to the mound and spent about 90 minutes at this site. We walked on top of the mound and enjoyed scenic views over the city and its souroundings. It gives a good overview of the city. There is also a nice coffee shop with a viewing deck where you can enjoy a break till the next bus back to town. Apart from the tour buses there is also a city bus that runs an hourly service.

It was a nice walk and got me looking at places outside of the touristy spots of old town. The view was excellent and entry was cheap.

Great view from the top. Make sure you take a warmer clothes as it gets windy up there and is cooler than Old Town etc.
I would not recommend riding a bicycle up there unless you've got a proper road bike. We are fit people who ride a bit and hired bikes to go up and it was tough.

Thank Joe S
