This hotel is ideal for a short sightseeing break in this fantastic place, ideally situated on a major road junction opposite the Wawel castle and a short stroll from the main square. It is a large hotel with large rooms, two double beds and in our case a third bed in a separate room. The bathroom was big, clean and very modern, BUT BE WARNED - the tram system start trundling by at about 6am and they make a lot of noise, we were on the fourth floor and could actually feel them pass by.
The breakfast is as good as it gets for a continental, buffet style eat/drink as much as you like, great coffee but seriously lacking a toaster !
The restaurant is first class and you need to book a table if you wish to eat here and it wont break the bank.
The receptionists are polite, well mannered and knowledgeable, we extended our room departure time from 10 am to 6 pm without fuss or extra charge.
Would i stay here again ? - Yes i would, but i would ask for a room facing the park and the castle to cut down on the tram noise.
RECOMMENDED !

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the castle

What a weekend great hotel reception staff more than helpful as we arrived late because of terrible snow , a welcome drink I the bar free of charge the suite (we had booked a room) was great views out of both side of the bedroom great. The rooms were a bit old but we felt that that added to the stay, breakfast was very varied and a gods selection of food.We will be back Helen

Room Tip: If you want modern ask for the new part of the Hotel if not just enjoy past splendour

We stayed here for one night, the hotel has odor, unpleasant smell. Our room was facing the street which is very noisy due to trams and other transportation. Couldn't sleep because of the noise even with closed window. The room had no A/C which is a minuse having in mind we had to close the window because of the noise. Breakfast is average, location is perfect.
It seems the hotel has a good restaurant because it was always full of locals.

Fantastic location: Wawel castle is just in front of the main gate, 5min on foot to the main square, also on a walking distance to Jewish Quarter where you can find charming places to eat, 20 minutes is walking distance of the main train station through park and if you need there is a tram stop next to the entrance. Large room with single beds with dimensions for double, free WiFi, spacious clean bathroom, very kind and helpful staff and on the reception you can find free guide and map from the series “In your pocket” and all information you need about Krakow and the region and also if you want you can book on the reception your day trip to salt mine Wieliczka or Auschwitz… the breakfast starts very early if you don’t want to lose even a moment of your day, there are good variety of different tasty things and the breakfast room actually is a restaurant of the hotel with nice and very different interior than other conventional hotels. This hotel was a great choice, definitely!
