The hotel is really very nice and cosy - my room was very comfortable, with a bath tube and a high ceiling with beams which gave the room a medieval touch)))) I also liked the breakfast served dowstairs and especiallyy the man who served it - it was so nice to see someone who is so friendy and cheerful in the morning!! The other members of the hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great - I had no problems achieving my places of interest and railway station by foot. Thank you!!!!

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2010

We stayed in a suite in the main hotel - negotiated up in advance from a room booking at no extra cost. This was wonderfully roomy, and made our stay enjoyable even in the rain. The location is superb - just outside the main square of the old town, although we needed to close the windows at night to cut the noise from passing revellers.
The staff were extremely helpful. Our only disappointment was breakfast - no fresh fruit and very poor so-called fruit juices. Otherwise we had a great time for 3 days, despite poor weather (June is the month of maximum rain for Krakow!).

We booked this hotel via the phone en route to Krakow and were offered a "last minute" deal of 360 Zloty for the night including breakfast. Check-in was amusing. A team of three very polite staff did what one person would do in the West. When we were shown our room, we were absolutely delighted. It occupied a corner position and featured a huge lounge room complete with large office, separate entry and bedroom. The rooms were furnished with dark wood, Axminster carpets and high ceilings. Cleanliness was of a high standard. Breakfast too exceeded our expectations. A comprehensive buffet was on offer plus hot food to order. The location is unbeatable and the staff friendly and helpful. If you are not looking for a contemporary style hotel, then this is highly recommended.

Living on a past reputation..Obliging but wooden staff.Very dated rooms..where is this fabulous refurb the hotel web site describes?A classic example of the old eastern block hotel.Solid but drab.Hot water tepid...shower screen falling off the wall...toilet seat disgusting ...whole bathroom desperate for a refit.Public rooms needed hoovering.Bedroom ok (room 305 ), comfortable and well cleaned.Dreadful lighting.Corridors soul less.Don't try the lift if you are a fatty!! Very good location for the square...heavens knows why all these celebs. stayed..(if they really did!!) Breakfast ok but repetitive.Overall its OK if you don't get too fussy but it's a bit of a misrepresentation to describe the hotel the way the web site does!! Maybe all the hotels are a bit like this but some looked much better from the outside! BIt pricey as well but that may be the fault of the falling pound!!
