Just returned from a short visit in Krakow, staying at the Wawel.
Within a five minute walk to the main square, this hotel really is a hidden gem. This lovely hotel has tons of character (we appreciated the complimentary coffee in the 'orangery' ....at some point I think most guests would have sat in their during their stay).
Our rooms were lovely and cleaned daily (the hotel was exceptionally clean).
There was so much choice at breakfast (continental however scrambled eggs etc for those who wanted something warm).
From checking in to leaving we found all staff to be friendly and helpful.
Being anywhere at Christmas is special and the Wawel was no exception, all the hotel's main areas had been beautifully decorated.
The hotel's location as previously mentioned is great. Minutes from the main square and the beautiful Wawel Castle, the hotel really is in the most beautiful area of the old town. There are eating opportunities galore which can be found on the same street as the hotel, all reasonably priced.
We are looking at returning to Krakow in 2018 and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else but this beautiful hotel. We can't wait

Fab location just a few minutes walk to the main square and with a wide choice of restaurants and bars close by. Breakfast buffet is very fresh and whilst it doesn't vary much, you won't go hungry. Made to order omelette and scrambled eggs were delicious. The rooms are very comfortable and the whole hotel is kept immaculately clean. My only disappointment was that our double bedded room was on the small side and there was no view. But for such a centrally located hotel, it was wonderfully quiet. For sure we will return again as it really does offer everything that you need for a short break. The on site Black Duck restaurant is highly recommended.
