“Spacious but Spartan”

The flat was on the 24th floor of a commercial block, which had apartments up to the 30th floor. Built in 2011 gives a very elevated view of busy marshalling yards and railway lines leading into Brno, but little else of note. It would of course open onto Brno and provide aspects across the city, including cathedral on the other side.
The premise was sufficiently cleaned to warrant immediate use and is well lit. But inspection showed cleaning to be somewhat perfunctory. Dust lay around the base of walls and the kitchen utensils (crockery and cutlery) were sparse/barely adequate, of low quality and not of sufficient cleanliness for use without washing.
Flat amenities are overall sufficient, including washing machine and dishwasher but minimalist furnishing in bedrooms especially, did not make for any degree of comfort. Only storage shelf, draws and wardrobe lies alongside the front door and the space used for cleaning materials.
Instructions sheets were barely adequate and insufficient for some items such as the TV; a usable translation into English would have been of considerable benefit.
The area has ample facilities, the subterranean garage is easy to use and very convenient. There is a small shopping area in the tower which has a restaurant open during office hours. Nearby is a cash and carry type supermarket with limited range and also banking; but Lidl and other stores are available, though require a car to reach. There are ample choices for petrol and several larger warehousing stores in the vicinity if gardening, or DIY takes your fancy.
