Description: We are italian family restaurant with authentic italian kitchen, and friendly athmosphere. You can find us in the center of Prague just two minutes from Narodní Třída. Besides traditional Italian dishes we also serve fresh fishes, seafood and daily changing specials. Our signature dish, flammed spaghetti which is prepared in a wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano in front of you is not just beatiful to watch but still prepared the same way like our grandma from Catania, Sicily showed us many years ago and we are till now using her original recipe of sugo pomodoro.

Me and my boyfriend went here for a meal last night and it was well worth the price! When you look for it, its down an alley so keep your eyes peeled! We spent £40 for a three course meal and 3 rounds of drinks each (he had beer, i had rose). We spent more on only a 1 course and two drinks on the square! If your going to go for a meal, get from the square.. And go back to it when you want to go out for just drinks
Try this place! Amazing food and service! But do ask what some of the words mean on the menu!

We stayed in Prague for 6 days. We were lucky to secure a table for dinner at this place. All the meals including appetizers, main dishes and desserts are so delicious and wonderfully decorated. I highly recommendation this restaurant to those who are looking for a quality dining experience.

My wife, mother, and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here. The son of the owner was our waiter. He was enthusiastic and food and service were outstanding. The octopus and lasagna were particularly good.

On a recent visit to Prague, we wanted to try out some of the best rated restaurants in town. Ristorante Pagana always ranks on #1 or #2 so we had to give it a try. We were lucky to secure a table for dinner as this place tends to sell out every night.

Let's start with the negative observations ...as there is nothing much to critizise about this family-run place. Pagana currently advertizes its truffle season and shows some interesting specials on its website, When we arrived, we had to learn that they ran out of white truffle so we had to stick to the regular menu. A bit disappointing ...

The menu is well-balanced and offers something for every taste. For starters, we chose the radicchio-fennel salad and the slowly-cooked guinea fowl. The salad was very fresh and tasty. The guinea fowl is simply to die for. Cooked to perfection with a sweet potatoe salad and a spicy gravy. This should clearly be the signature dish of the restaurant.

I chose to order the saffron risotto with wild broccoli and shrimp as a second course. The rice was perfect and the chef was very generous with the saffron. You cannot make this dish any better and I just loved the crisp broccoli topping. Two thumbs up!

For main course, we picked the seafood plate and another order of guinea fowl. The seafood plate came with salmon, scallops, shrimp and ratatouille. Simple, fresh and tasty.

The service was very nice and welcoming. If there is one piece of advice. It would be to slow down a little and spend more time with the customers. It is clear that everybody is up for perfection. But Pagana is stressing the family-style so slowing down the pace would add to the perfect experience. Nobody here should be in a rush.

Another side note, the owner and mother is also the artist who contributes the artwork to the restaurant. I would love to own some of those paintings ...very tasteful!

Considering the quality of the food, the prices are also very reasonable.

In short, a highlight of our visit to Prague and a strong recommendation to all of those who are looking for a quality dining experience.

Dear Paull421,

thank you very much for the time writing this nice review .
For us as a family is very important to hear feedback and I know that constructive criticism are the most hard to write, thank you for them . We will try to lose the tension and work a bit more relaxed. This is hard for me I love to have all as perfect as possible but now and than it will coast a bigger price. I will work on it, thank you for telling us.
We are proud to read such passion review and will order next year more Tartufo di Alba...
