We stumbled upon this place by accident; we were looking for somewhere to get lunch while we waited for our ebike tour to start. They offer a range of coffees and teas and a lot of wine. They also offer sandwiches but only in ham and cheese and as we are vegetarian this was no good for us so we just ordered a coffee and a cappuccino but then the owner offered to make us a cheese sandwich which we were very appreciative of. The café is full of ornaments and paintings and mirrors etc on the walls and shelves and has a very vintage feel to it. A great aroma to the place too as there are bunches of lavender hung up all over the place. We were really pleased with the service. A great little find.

We stopped at Bon Bon Cafe, located on Vlasska Mala Strana just past the Almachemist Hotel and really enjoyed our visit here.

This is a very small indoor area, well decorated with vintage decor. The host served up a very nice coffee (35Kr or US$1.75) and a cup of hot chocolate (65Kr) that was think and tasty, really good stuff (rating 4.5 of 5).

Overall, we wish we could have visited this little place again, finding its decor and ambience quite unique, drinks great and overall experience genuinely enjoyable. Wine is available at the Bon Bon Cafe but we only tried the coffee and hot drinks.

While staying at Dum u velke boty in Mala Strana, we passed by the Bon Bon Cafe on our way to and from the hotel. We were intrigued by the doorway and the tables we could see, so stopped for coffee. The charm of the decor immediately appealed to us . . . artwork and eclectic items, lamps, books, and wines. It became a daily stop (or two) for coffee made to perfection, and wine, served with knowledge and flair by Sasha, the owner.

We passed by after dinner one evening to find the Bon Bon still open, so dived in for a glass of wine. The place had a lively group in the front seating area, who appeared to have been settled in for awhile with obvious enjoyment. We took a table for two in the intimate inner room next to three young women on "girl's weekend" who were originally from Russia, and enjoyed an interesting conversation with them and with Sasha, who engaged us all as he topped up glasses. When we said we'd been trying to come in after dinner early in the week, and wanted to know how late he stayed open, he replied with a small smile and said "Six". It was now almost nine o'clock! It turned out that everyone was enjoying themselves so much, and others kept turning up, so he just stayed open! We all burst out laughing!

There is no food served, so this is truly just a place to relax, enjoy good coffee or one of the many many wines. It is a unique spot and we thoroughly looked forward to each stop we made there. You will find Sasha, or his sister, attentive but not pushy. They will happily engage in conversation, or leave you to it. It was one of the highlights of our trip as we felt recognized and welcome after our first visit. (They do allow smoking, so don't be surprised.)
