As others mentioned: my room had a separate kitchen with two burner stove, small refrigerator, electric carafe, and basic dishes and pots/pans. The refrigerator actually worked so well that my liquid items froze solid. Breakfast buffet was sizeable. As a vegetarian I did have things to eat but the hot items were usually meat based. Some excellent bars and restaurants quite nearby. Very close to tram and metro and, if you like walking, you can easily walk to the touristy areas such as the Old Town and Mala Strana. I would say that this place is better suited for families or groups of people as opposed to solo travelers. At breakfast I was always the only one sitting solo and had no conversations with others, which is unusual for me when I travel. Yes, the place is dated, TV was small and obsolete, but I wasn't there to watch TV. The safe in the room was nice. Bed was comfortable. Loved being able to open the windows wide. Water pressure in shower not so great, but not terrible either. I was on 5th floor and there was an elevator, plus stairs if you prefer. I'd stay there again.

Room Tip: I stayed on 5th floor which was quiet.

The room is very spacious and there is separated kitchen with refrigerator and basic kitchen utensils. The bathroom is clean but old. Bed is quite comfortable. The TV set comes from ancient time.
Breakfast isn't good. Maybe fresh but fried piece of "something" didn't taste good. Today was pasta with meat (?) Wifi is quite good.
Good location. Friendly friendly staff. But one lady in reception should smile.

Stayed at The Orion Hotel for 5 days this October. The room was like a small suite with a separate kitchen equipped with stove, refrigerator, electric hot water carafe and basic utensils, pots and pans to cook. The entire suite was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk was staffed 24/7 and there was always someone that spoke English well. Staff was very helpful. They also provided a daily breakfast that had a large variety of foods both cold and hot.
The Orion is located in the Vinoraby neighborhood in the outskirts of Prague but walking distance to both trams and metro. It was a very safe and nice neighborhood with restaurants and cafes near.

We stayed at the hotel Orion for three weeks in January 2016. When we arrived we were met by a taxi organised by the hotel. The driver was friendly and pointed out interesting features of our drive which took about 30 minutes. When we arrived at our hotel we were welcomed by helpful lady on the 24 hour desk. Every staff member that we met was polite and helpful at all times. We had an apartment on the top floor. There was a lift but the last flight had to be walked. The apartment was an attic style with slanting ceilings which we loved. There was a cute kitchen with eat in table and chairs, lounge and bedroom. Everything that you could ask for and very clean. The hotel is close to lots of quality and inexpensive cafes and restaurants and bars and we enjoyed exploring these immensely. There is an underground train station about 5 minutes walk away with very inexpensive travel. Only 2 stops to the centre. Otherwise it is about 20-25 minute walk. We enjoyed the walk and investigated different ways each time. Overall a wonderful holiday in Prague made even better by the Orion hotel. We would stay there again at the drop of a hat.

Room Tip: The attic rooms have lovely views and one of the rooms even has a terrace.

Just returned from spending three nights here. We were lucky enough to have the room with the rooftop terrace, just stunning! Fantastic location, about 5 min walk to the metro. There are some fab restaurants nearby too. Our room had a basic kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom as well as a large terrace, everything was spotless. We stayed B&B and I would definitely recommend this, if you like to get going early you might struggle to find breakfast out before 10 am. The hotel staff were always helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to return here.
