This was a really nice place with spacious unique rooms. It also has a neat "basement" area: lounge, bar , rec room. We enjoyed it very much. It's also right around the corner from a very popular area of Prague, next to the Palladium Shopping Mall which has tons of stores and eating choices.

We had a three night break to enjoy Prague in the winter, and visit the Christmas markets. We booked a taxi from the airport (through EasyJet not the hotel) and the cost was about €35 round trip which was great value. It’s not far from the airport so in hindsight we could have done public transport...it’s so easy to do. Prague is a wonderful city, so friendly and chilled.
Reception at the hotel...fantastic. Friendly, efficient and helpful.
Our room was in the attic (we got a discounted deal from Booking.com) but the room was great. Lovely and warm, clean, comfortable bed. Small bathroom, but had everything you would want for a short break including a well stocked fridge (at a cost...but not over what you would expect to pay). The room, accessible only via a staircase would not have been suitable for anyone with limited mobility...so if that’s an issue, let them know, as the hotel management bend over backwards to make sure their customers are happy and cared for.
The restaurant attached (La Boca) has been reviewed separately, but is very good...breakfast is buffet style, eggs, bacon, sausage available and the usual cereals, cold meats fruit etc. Dinners great too.
One thing about Prague...cobbled streets everywhere! Make sure you have really cushioned footwear because your feet will suffer otherwise.
Christmas markets are amazing...hot wine...pork knuckle...toasted cheese...oh...lots of decorations etc too
The shopping in the city is fantastic...like Regent Street...there’s even a Bluewater ( Palladium).
The week we visited there were two ballets, 2 operas and “Europe’s biggest Nightclub” advertised...certainly no shortage of nightlife!

One final thing...Czech Republic kept their own currency...although the Euro is accepted in many shops and restaurants, the exchange rate won’t be in your favour...so either pay by card or get your Czech Koruna before you go.

I loved Prague, and loved Hotel Salvador...10/10 for both!

We arrived one day late for a 3-night stay due to flight cancellations. We called the hotel ahead of time to let them know and were told it was not a problem. When we arrived, they told us there was no room available and we would have to walk several blocks to another building where they had apartments. We are an elderly couple with multiple bags but they offered no assistance except directions and a small unreadable map. After struggling with our luggage down the cobblestone streets, we managed to find the apartments. We were issued a key at the “desk” (which is only staffed 8 am to 8 pm). The apartment was okay but the refrigerator was very noisy and the shower soap bottle was empty. As our reservation included breakfast, we had to walk all the way back to the hotel in the morning. We went to the hotel front desk after breakfast and asked them to refund us for the night we couldn’t stay and they said they couldn’t because it was prepaid. The young desk clerk finally went to a back room to talk with the manager and came back to tell us we could come back to the hotel as they now had an available room (again no help with our luggage) and offered free shuttle service to the airport when we checked out. As we were leaving by bus to go on a river cruise, the shuttle offer was not much of a benefit. So in the end, we paid for a 3-night stay with breakfast, and received a 2-night stay in another building that we had to walk several blocks to get to, with only one breakfast because we had to check out early on our last day to catch our bus. Not a pleasant experience and this hotel could do a much better job in its treatment of elderly customers. If you make reservations here, do not prepay!
