Location - superb / 5 mins to Charles Bridge , 2 mins to hradcany
Staff- very polite and helpful
Room - average at best ( good bed, no AC, old furniture smelling like mould)
Breakfast - ok ( I somehow did not think items were fresh)

Free bottle of wine did not help us and was disappointed to know that the bathroom and toilet were separated from our rooms and outside our room. If I knew that I have to walk out of my room to go to the loo and again wear my pants and come out of the loo and go to take a shower, I would have booked a dorm at half the price . Toilet bulb was broken and was cold in the morning which resulted in a very uncomfortable dump ( not the best way to start ur holiday ) . Bulb and latch in the toilet were broken which resulted in me waiting outside of the loo while my wife was inside !! found the loo to be used by others a cple of times.
Approach to the room was uncomfortable as the motion sensing corridor lights used to deactivate in seconds.
Overall experience, below satisfactory

We stayed in the Waldstein hotel for a four night city break in Prague and were delighted with our stay. Though we arrived in the middle of the morning, our room was available and we were allowed to check in. Our room was really clean, very comfortable and full of character, complete with antique furniture. There was a big choice for breakfast which also included a cooked option. We found all the staff very friendly, approachable and helpful, particularly the receptionists with whom we had the most contact. The location of the hotel is superb; it's in the quieter side of town, close to all major attractions, set back in a small cul-de-sac away from noisy streets and very close to the Charles Bridge which we crossed daily to get to the other side of town. Nearby you will also find a good choice of restaurants including a vegan restaurant which served delicous meals. We would recommend the Waldstein and would choose to stay here again.

Room tip: Rooms not facing the cul-de-sac may be even quieter as delivery vans also used it but this was no big deal because the hotel was so good.

Just returned from this hotel, stayed for two days with daughter. Staff are excellent so helpful with maps and advice of how to get the best of a short stay. It is in a quite area but close to Castle the famous walking bridge shops and restaurants. Well placed in the old town, the breakfast was in a wonderful basement with old brick arches such a historic set up feeling. Everything was clean and presentable.

Room tip: We were on a lower floor room was big plenty of room. It was off a court yard and has other floors above very quaint but plenty of room.

Lovely old style hotel with the most amazing breakfast. Staff were all so helpful and informative. Would highly recommend the restaurant next door for dinner. Easy walking distance to everywhere you could want to see in Prague. The gentleman out the front that helped with our parking and recommendation for dinner was awesome.
