We loved our stay at Hotel Josef. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the staff was really superb. When a place gets gracious hospitality right it makes a tremendous difference. One small example of how they get it right is that you are greeted with a bowl of fresh fruit in the room, and the first round of minibar contents is included. It's such a difference from feeling like you have to be on guard against being hit with a $10 charge for a moment's slip in which you drink a bottle of juice!
Perfect location, easily walkable to the sights in the old town, and accessible to the trams to go further afield. Far enough from the very center to be quiet at night, so no trouble sleeping.
After a while on the road, hotel breakfast buffets start getting a little old, but this one was truly amazing. Their breads and viennoisserie are made in house and are among the best I have eaten anywhere in the world. Certainly better than many parisian bakeries. You may request more elaborate items (e.g. eggs benedict ) from the menu at no extra charge.
I would be delighted to have the opportunity to stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights and booked 2 rooms, one for our family and one for my sister and her husband. We had flown in to Prague in the evening and were only going to be able to check in around 10 pm. The hotel was ready for us when we arrived, and check in was quick. They also brought our luggage to the rooms for us. The rooms themselves were great. Plenty of room and very clean. But what stood out most of all was the service. The staff was always very helpful. The breakfast was second to none. This has got to be one of the best breakfasts in all of Prague. The breakfast room is well laid out, and the choices are amazing. You can choose from the buffet or order something from the menu (The Eggs Royal or the Benedict are fantastic). They always have a great selection of juices and smoothies. This would be our hotel of choice when we come back to Prague.

To top it off, the hotel is located near most, if not all of the sightseeing spots. And it is also near some great restaurants

Was recommended this hotel by an English guy who lives in Prague. Great position for exploring Prague, with many facilities just a two minute walk away. The hotel is very modern and we had a room on the seventh floor with private balcony with lovely views over Prague. Planning on going back for a long weekend and will be going back to this hotel.
