“Wonderful stay in glamorous hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2012

Room was smaller than expected but did have a large bed. Would have liked to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room as standard.Would also prefer non smoking environment but all cafe/bars accomodate smokers in Prague
Cafe de Pariz coffee lounge/bar was beautiful, very relaxed ambience, served deliciously tasty food, lovely mulled wine and baileys coffees. Surroundings very glamorous and art deco style. Breakfast superb - did not need any lunch at all. Staff service excellent. Made use of spa facilities - very welcome after sightseeing all day.
Location could not be better - walking distance of Old Town Square, right next to Metro and central for shopping. Would definitely return but would upgrade to a larger room with bath and shower in en suit. Got a bus then metro from airport and return - very easy journey approx 45 mins in total

This was a luxury hotel in socialist times. You can feel it if you're fond of history. But according to modern standards I'd say this is a 3+ star hotel, not a 5* one. Though for one night it's ok and breakfast is rich enough to start your day exploring Prague.

We enjoyed staying in this stylish hotel. We were upgraded to a very comfortable Executive room on the first floor, with two big windows and a large blue and white bathroom. The public rooms have wonderful Art Nouveau features. The restaurant was quite expensive but breakfast was there so visitors get to see the decor! The one dinner we had there was good. There is also a lovely decorative Cafe/Bar with good, but cheaper, food too. The staff were pleasant and obliging. The hotel is in a very central place, close to the main tourist sights but not on one of busier tourist streets. It is just across the road from the Obecni Dum, which is a fantastic Art Nouveau building well worth visiting. February was a good time to go to Prague, as there were not too many tourists. Also recommend the Cafe Savoy, stylish with good food and hot chocolate with blankets and a great view of the city on the cafe terrace of the Lobkowicz Palace in the castle grounds.

As part of a leisurely holiday - Berlin to Rome by train via Prague, Vienna and Venice - we were keen to experience some central european 'fin de siecle' lifestyle ( prior to the almost wholesale destruction of the region throughout the 20th century ). We noted the restaurant whilst strolling through this extraordinary town and went there for an evening's splurge. We abandoned ourselves entirely to the waiters' discretion on all things edible and quaffable and had a marvellous time being enchanted by the ambience ( and the outstanding choice of wines ). We ended up being the last to leave ( even the pianist had packed up ) and it has become one of the great memories of a lifetime of travelling. A rare experience not to be missed.

Got back yesterday after spending a magical 4 nights at Hotel Paris. Wonderful is the only word i can think of to describe the quality of the hotel and of the service we recieved. Fantastic staff were always on hand to ensure our stay was made special and from the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were not let down. Wonderfully decorated , furnished and wow that staircase. Such an excellent location too, all the sights of the city within easy walking distance. If you are looking for that special stay in Prague stay at Hotel Paris you definately wont be dissapointed

Room Tip: we stayed on 5th floor and got to see down that amazing staircase every morning
