This is definitely a must-see in Prague. I'm sure it offers more during summer than early in the spring when the breeze chills you to the bones! :D The bridge is a popular tourist attraction, so prepare for that, but otherwise I'd recommend taking a stroll across it, admiring the lovely statues and the view!

Eastern and Central Europe and its fascination with love locks. All they need is a place remotely, borderline romantic (or just romantic in their head), a water body (lake, brook, pond, estuary) and a bridge (or just an iron barricade) and they will glorify it with love locks.
Because as it was said in 'Love Across the Salt Desert', 'Love is all there is, is all we know of love'.

If you manage to avoid the tourists, this magical landmark captures the romance of Prague. In Winter, the light glances off the frost on the cobbles on this beautiful bridge

This bridge seemed to be a source of pride for each local we encountered, and it is really a beautiful structure with lovely views. However, at almost all times of day it was so crowded with people that it was very difficult to enjoy. The large tour groups would frequently stop and block virtually the entire width of the bridge. By afternoon it was packed, and we were there in late March before the major crowds. It seemed like earlier in the morning it was a bit easier to appreciate the architecture, the views and the music.

A wonderful bridge steeped in so much history. Best time to see the bridge 6am as no people and no stalls
