We changed to this Chinese as many of our local ones had let us down with either poor quality food or by adding dairy to dairy free/vegan dishes. We also wanted a good Chinese restaurant. Our local restaurant have very poor customer service and not very good food. Rumours were it didn't change its oil regulary either! Jamsine won us over with its many (not all positive) positive reviews. When I first ordered several months ago, I was amazed by their attention to detail in catering for my allergies, they went above and beyond to make sure my meal was safe to eat. The food was exquisite. It was worth the 20 minute drive there and back to pick it up. However the next couple of times it wasn't quite as good, the food was a bit undercooked & soggy but it was edible. We then went for a meal at the restaurant a month or so ago the customer service, attention to detail regarding my allergies & the food were all amazing. As per normal, with most restaurants that do take aways, the food is always better at the restaurant. The restaurat was beautiful too, spacious and well decorated. Clean. We would definitely go back to the restaurant. We ordered a take away again on Monday, again there was excellent attention to detail regarding my allergies, however there was an error with one of the dishes ordered which spoilt the meal somewhat. The restaurant was very apologetic and helpful. Unfortuantely this was not the only issue, the noodles, rice and curry all had a tang, a chemical smell/taste. We therefore couldn't eat the noodles or the curry, the rice was just about edible. This was really disapointing as even when the food isn't as good as it can be, it isn't normally this disapointing. I contacted the restaurant to query if there was a new chef and was told that there wasn't. They were very prompt at replying, which is very unusual, so this was great and they were very apologetic. The restaurant has many redeeming qualities, I am not sure whether I will want to risk another take away with the 20 minute journey there or back as I don't want to be disapointed, however due to their excellent cutsomer service and attention to detail and sometimes excellent food, I may be swayed, after all everyone deserves a second chance. I really hope this is a one off, as it is such a promising restaurant. It's the best I've been to in terms of its accommodation of allergies.
