We are so sorry to read the experiences you endured while on property.

Although the beach is a public area that is not owned by the property we do hope that our staff assisted in contacting the local authorities to address your issue in a timely manner.

At times businesses do not meet the expectations of their guest but rest assure we are sharing your comments with the appropriate staff members so as to avoid the incidents from repeating themselves.
Again, we apologize and hope these situations do not deter you from returning.

I'll start with the great and the good...
Our big-ish beach front room was a few feet through a trail in some bushes to the beach. The beach was beautiful and there weren't any vendors hassling us (once we said no they left us alone). I really enjoyed the patio area. It was nice to sit outside each evening and chat with my girlfriends. The staff were all very nice, attentive and pleasant. The lobby area is gorgeous and grand. The blended ice coffee from the cafe was delish. The omelettes from the breakfast place were really good as well. The brussel sprouts and the filet mignon from the Meat Market were both incredible. I have never seen such a large baked potato in my life.

The location of the beach front rooms is right between the beach and the pool areas. Also, the gym is right there as well.

The hotel itself was quiet (we heard the weekends are typically off the hook though) and there wasn't much traffic on the beach.

The Not So Good-
The staff didn't know a lot about the area or the hotel at all for that matter. When I called before booking the beachfront room I asked the question if the bathroom was private (I've been to some W hotels that have very weird layouts). We were three friends sharing one room and we wanted some privacy. I was told that yes they were private. Well, ours wasn't. There are shutters between the bathroom and the bedroom. So, you never really had any privacy at all. We kept thanking God that we didn't get food poisoning...

When asking the concierge a question about the local area she pulled up google. Well, I had only asked her because I had already googled it and didn't find the response.

Another staff member had suggested a restaurant in walking distance. We asked if it was possible to walk there via the beach rather than the city streets. We were told it wasn't. When we arrived, the restaurant entrance was right next to the beach we could have walked on!

We felt that there wasn't enough information provided in our room about the restaurants at the hotel or any other information about the hotel. We had no idea where to go to get lunch. We ended up finding a lovely place down the beach but only because we didn't know where to eat on property and the few people we asked from the hotel didn't know either.

I'm not sure if they are able to serve drinks on the beach or not but that was something that we were definitely missing. We ended up going to the Pueblo market and bought our own stuff to mix up ourselves.

The door to the adjoining room wouldn't lock. We moved the tv stand/dresser thing in front of it to block it.

Room service was blah. There weren't many items on the menu to choose from.

The pool needed a cleaning and so did the hot tub. One hot tub was not functioning while we were there.

All in all, the not so great wasn't that bad and we had a lovely time. If coming on vacation to use the beach or the pool definitely stay in one of the beach front or pool front rooms. If coming for business, the hotel tower is suitable. (We had to stay in the tower our first night because the AC in our beach front room was not working.)

Room Tip: If coming for vacation choose a beach front or pool front. Otherwise, it's like you are in a city apartment...

Good overall experience minus the casino and spa that did not exist and security asking me multiple times if I stayed at the resort, like I snuck over the fence or something. Hotel itself was fabolous , clean rooms, and great staff.

The hotel had reopened 1 month prior to by visit. We were greeted with open arms. There was a labor dispute going on, but it never affected the service. The hotel is breathtaking! The night matched the day, especially outside. Eating breakfast or dinner next to the pool was a treat. The location allowed us to get to major expressways very easy to access the various parts of the island. We will be talking about this resort for some time to come.
