I knew it was going to be a great vacation when I opened the door and saw how big and clean the condo was...but it got even better when I threw open the curtains and saw the view from the balcony. Situated on the 16th floor of the ESJ Towers, facing the east so as to enjoy those beautiful Caribbean sunrises with your favorite cup of coffee or even with a smoothie as both those options have been provided for. The air conditioning was the best I've experienced in a condo too.
There were two beach chairs and a cooler in the closet of which we put the latter to good use taking our own drinks down to the beach. Since the Pueblo grocery store was only 2 blocks straight out the front gate then hang a right at the end of the block, it was convenient to bring our own drinks and food back to the condo for breakfast and lunch since Debra has a well stocked kitchenette and a full-size refrigerator in the condo (almost unheard of in a condo, usually you get one of those little dorm refrigerators). Don't worry, there are several options for fast food lunches on the boulevard just out the front gate, but also there is Paul, from New York who has the best barbequed meat and fish on wooden skewers at his little vendor cart on the beach, absolutely fantastic ($4-$7)!!
The beach was perfect too. ESJ rents chairs($8/2chairs) and umbrellas($10) at the beach access gate (and they threw in the table). We had checked out the pool area, was nice but a little crowded so we opted to rent chairs/umbrella and it was a great decision. Never a dull moment on the beach, lots of people watching. There is also a mini mart on site to which has a little bit of everything. I do have to say everyone we met at the ESJ, employee or guest, were so nice and friendly.
We checked out several of the restaurants in the area, Mi Casita, Edith's Café, La Playita, Lupi's and all were really good. My husband even had to have a breakfast at Denny's and it was just as if you were here in the states.
If your looking for a very nice relaxing atmosphere to spend some time in the Puerto Rico sun and do nothing, this is the perfect condo and place to do it. Thanks for a great time Debra!!
