“Ronda, a city on a hill....”

Driving from Malaga to Ronda is already an exciting experience. The road is a zig zag through the mountains and you also pass through a mountain of I think granite rocks that are just awesome to behold. The drive lasts for about an hour. So it is better to visit it during day time. In Ronda, you can visit, the Bull Ring, El Puente Nuevo (New Bridge - although it's medieval), the City Hall and the Church of Santa Maria la Mayor. It is nice to take a meal in one of the many terraces on the sides of the bridge which gives one a spectacular view of several houses and restaurants like hanging on the cliff, as well as the plains below.

It is expensive, overpriced but... clean, full of character, tiny lanes, brilliant flowers and very cute. A nice place to explore late afternoon, and to find a small restaurant or café to watch the world go by.

Charming city in the mountains, that reminds us of the time of "The Bandidos".
Beautiful views of the river, excellent restaurants and very interesting antiques.

A great place to visit whether you like the touristy side of things or if you want to explore the many streets and side streets. Lots of shops and bars but also some fascinating places tucked away that need to be seen. Obviously the bridge is one of the centrepoints as is the Plaza Del Toros (bullring), but it's worth a walk down to the Moorish baths, the casa del rey Moro and the many beautiful casas tucked away.

What a great place to visit. Definitely worth the drive over there. We were very surprised by the beauty of the old town, especially the bridge and the canyon bellow, the old streets....
